La investigación, que ha durado tres años, se presentó en el Congreso Internacional sobre Medicina Alternativa que se celebró en esta ciudad durante el mes de febrero, organizado conjuntamente por la NUS y la Universidad estadounidense John Hopkins. El Congreso, en palabras de su director, Yong Eu Leong, "buscará explorar la medicina china tradicional de las plantas y examinarla bajo el microscopio de los estándares científicos".
